Sharing our business experience to support and encourage individuals to grow, develop and succeed.

Figures from the government’s Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative suggest that 70 per cent of small businesses that receive mentoring survive for five years or more, which is double the rate compared with non-mentored entrepreneurs, and are 20 per cent more likely to experience growth.

Smarter draws on extensive commercial and financial knowledge and experience from Corporate and SME operations, to support and encourage business managers and owners to grow, develop and succeed in their sphere of business.

As such, we help our mentees find the right direction and develop robust solutions, in order to maximise their business potential and improve their business performance.

Smarter business mentors share knowledge and life experiences, focusing not just on business competency, but also on helping to shape business managers and owners character, values, self-awareness, empathy, and capacity for respect.

“In business, you have to accept you can’t do everything yourself, so we looked for a mentor who would provide us with an invaluable, experience-based business perspective on us as owners, and also on our business itself. We applied to the British Library’s Innovation for Growth Mentoring Programme last year and it connected us with Ken J Davey, the founder and MD of Smarter Limited. He’s honest and open and has helped us focus our mission statement and also to think about our short-term and long-term goals. This has helped us define an even clearer path for the business, and what really helps is he isn’t from the events industry. I’d urge any SME to give it a go.”
